House Kai
The original single storey house in Upper Green Point is receiving an additional story as well as a new roof deck with a pool. The existing ground floor receives a full redesign and is extended to the back by creating a double volume stairwell area that connects the new top floor, roof garden and pool. It is turned into a generous open plan living space, with a view through big sliding doors from the entertainment area.

The upper floor accommodates four bedrooms each with en suite bathrooms and a kids bathroom to share. The two main bedrooms look out onto the sea and view corridors inside the rooms allow a sneak preview from bath and shower.

The roofs slab becomes the outdoor deck and terrace with a big pool overseeing the city.

The interior mixes oak floors with concrete coloured screed floor and ceiling elements as well as dark tiles for bathrooms and outdoor areas. Wall colours are kept white with some different shapes of grey colour feature walls which in combination with the oak furniture gives a cosy but modern look.
